Man held over girl's riverside murder

A MAN of 19 was arrested last night on suspicion of murdering schoolgirl Asha Muneer.

The 18-year-old part-time shop assistant was stabbed to death as she walked home along an unlit riverside footpath after leaving work at a Laura Ashley store in Reading, Berkshire, on Monday night.

She was found by a jogger who called the emergency services, but it was too late to save her.
