Man found murdered

A 48-YEAR-OLD man has been found murdered in his home.

Ernest Hamilton was discovered dead at an address in Shapinsay Street, in Milton, Glasgow, at about 10am on Saturday.

Detective Chief Inspector Kenny Dewar, of Strathclyde Police, said: “My detectives are carrying out door-to-door inquiries and a detailed forensic examination is taking place to gather information that will help us to identify the person responsible.

“From our inquiries so far, we know that Ernest was last seen on Friday night around 11pm.”

Police want to hear from anyone who may have seen him around that time, and from anyone who may have heard a disturbance inside the property.
