A MAN has died in hospital, a week after he was found with serious injuries in the grounds of an Aberdeen secondary school.

The 57 year-old man, named locally as Ronnie Watson, was discovered by workmen on Sunday, 5 May, in the grounds of St Machar Academy in the city’s Bedford Avenue

The Aberdeen Division of Police Scotland launched an investigation to determine whether the circumstances which led to his injuries were criminal or accidental. It is understood Mr Watson may have been injured after falling in the grounds of the secondary school.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We can confirm that a 57 year-old man has died due to medical reasons. His death is not being treated as suspicious.”
