Man found in city centre 'died of natural causes'

A MAN found lying in Aberdeen city centre with serious head injuries died of natural causes, it was revealed last night.

James Geddes, 50, was found late last Wednesday night in Rosemount Place. He died later in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Detective Chief Inspector Malcolm MacLeod , who was leading the investigation, said the death of Mr Geddes was not being treated as suspicious. He said: "Our inquiries have revealed that James died of natural causes. His death is not being treated as the result of a criminal act."

DCI MacLeod added: "We are still appealing for any further witnesses to his last movements to come forward.

"I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank the public for coming forward and assisting us with the inquiry."
