Man flees Corstorphine house blaze

A MAN was treated for smoke inhalation after a blaze ripped through a house off Corstorphine Road this morning.

The casualty, aged in his 40s, was sleeping when the fire started at around 4.30am but managed to escape before crews arrived and extinguished it.

The fire started in the first floor of the house in Belmont Gardens and broke through to a converted attic space.
