Man faces trial over huge cannabis haul

A MAN has been committed for trial on a charge of possessing more than half a million pounds worth of cannabis.

Gary Weir, 38, appeared on petition at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.

He made no plea or declaration to charges of supplying cannabis resin and possessing cocaine. Weir, from Whitburn, West Lothian, was remanded in custody.
