Man dies after being found injured in Aberdeen

MYSTERY today surrounded the death of a man who died in hospital after being found with “significant injuries” in Aberdeen city centre.

The 34 year-old man, who has still to be named, was found lying seriously injured in the city’s Marywell Street on Friday night.

He was rushed by ambulance to Aberdeen Royal infirmary after emergency services were called to the scene. But the Aberdeen Division of Police Scotland today revealed that the man has since died.

A force spokesman said: “Police Scotland, Aberdeen Division, can confirm that a 34 year-old male has died at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary having been found with significant injuries on Marywell Street, Aberdeen, around 6.50pm on Friday.”

He added: “Police Scotland is continuing to make investigations into the death which at this time is being treated as unexplained.”
