Man in court over sex attack

A MAN has appeared in court charged with the rape of a woman who was later found dead in her Edinburgh home.

Jay Soso, from Edinburgh, appeared at Edinburgh Sheriff Court charged with rape, theft and two drugs offences.

Marie Reid's body was found at her home in Easter Drylaw Way on 15 November.

Police are still investigating the 62-year-old's cause of death after an inconclusive post-mortem examination was carried out.

The 18-year-old made no plea or declaration. He was held in custody.
