Man charged over fatal shooting in flat

A MAN has been arrested and charged after a businessman was shot dead and another man was left injured in a flat.

Officers found the body of Mohammed Nadeem Siddique, 38, from Kirkcaldy, when they arrived at a house on 24 October.

Police also found another man injured at the property in the Forres Drive area of Glenrothes, Fife. He was taken to hospital and has since been released.

A spokesman for Fife Constabulary said: "Fife Constabulary can confirm that a 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of 38-year-old Mohammed Nadeem Siddique.

"The man has also been charged with the attempted murder of a second individual within the flat. He is expected to appear at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court on Tuesday, 2 November."
