The Tayside Division of Police Scotland launched an appeal for information yesterday after the 87 year-old female pensioner was injured after being struck by a car in Hospital Street, Dundee, near its junction with Strathmore Road.

A force spokesman said the driver of a blue BMW 1 series car had failed to stop after the accident and continued driving along Hospital Street towards Clepington Road.
