James Bruce, 40, from the Peterhead area, died in hospital after he was stabbed in Boddam, Aberdeenshire, on Sunday.
Ismail Burnett, 37, from Peterhead, appeared at the town's sheriff court yesterday charged with murder. No plea was made and he was remanded.
