Man arrested over daylight robbery

A man has been arrested in connection with a robbery in a pub in broad daylight.

The incident took place at around 8am on 29 August at the Primary pub, now known as the Old Schoolhouse, in the west end of Glasgow.

Strathclyde Police said three pub workers were tied in the premises up by men wearing black balaclavas during the raid. The barmen were allegedly threatened while the men demanded money.

The robbers are believed to have taken a four-figure sum of money before escaping towards Great Western Road.

Police said a 52-year-old man has been arrested and taken into custody in connection with the incident.

He is expected to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court today.
