Man, 80, hurt in house fire

A PENSIONER was taken to hospital after a fire broke out in his living room yesterday morning.

The 80-year-old suffered severe burns to his right wrist and possible smoke inhalation in the house fire on Kirknewton's Park Terrace.

The fire broke out just before 11am, and was believed to have started when a tea towel caught fire.

The man was taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston by ambulance.
