Man, 75, dies after emergency incident on Edinburgh's Learmonth Terrace

A 75-year-old man has died in hospital after an incident on Edinburgh's Learmonth Terrace. Emergency services were called to an address on Learmonth Terrace off Queensferry Road shortly before 10am on Sunday March 1.

At least seven police vehicles and two ambulances attended the scene.

A 75-year-old man was taken to hospital, where he later died.

The incident occurred on Learmonth Terrace.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: "Officers were called to Learmonth Terrace at 9.50am on Sunday March 1 after a 75-year-old man was found injured.

"The man was taken to hospital and later died.

"Enquiries are ongoing and police are treating the death as unexplained."

A resident from Learmonth Terrace told the Evening News yesterday: “I was walking my dog at 7.15am and there was nothing on the street then.

“But later my wife looked out the window and saw a paramedic performing CPR on a man, they left in an ambulance with a four-car escort.

"Since then there have been lots of police going in and out."

“My wife said it looked like someone had fallen from a window at the top of the building.”
