Strathclyde Police said there appeared to be no clear motive for the assault, which happened at around 8:30pm on Friday.

Officers said the suspects made off in an unknown direction.

They are described as being around 20 years old and they were all dressed in dark clothing.

Police have been speaking to nearby residents and businesses, as well as checking CCTV footage from the area.
