M80 and M876 closed as police urge drivers '˜not to travel'

The M80 and the M876 and the M73 at Junction 2 have closed following heavy snowfall as police urge drivers not to travel.

The move comes after hundreds of drivers were stranded overnight on Scotland’s M80 after the weather conditions brought traffic to a complete standstill.

Many drivers were stranded for up to 13 hours in their vehicles.
