Lucky escape for driver in Lochaber crash

A WOMAN driver had a miracle escape after her car crashed into a Highland loch.

The vehicle left the road, three miles east of Lochailort in Lochaber, and entered the loch, where it began to sink under the surface.

The woman, the sole occupant of the car, managed to escape through the driver’s window and then swam ashore.
