Lotto winner leaves it late

A CAPITAL lottery player has scooped a belated £250,000 windfall after claiming the cash two weeks after the draw was made.

The anonymous winner boosted their bank account by £252,525 after leaving it late to check their numbers on the EuroMillions draw from January 31.

A National Lottery spokesperson said: “We’re delighted that the winner of this amazing prize has now come forward and we hope that they will enjoy their win.”
