Lothian base for German X Factor

The German version of the X Factor is to use Lennoxlove House in Haddington, East Lothian as a base for its competitors, it was reported today.

The German jazz star Till Bronner, who is a judge on the series, will use the 11-bedroom house as the base for his over-25s group. He is flying in on Tuesday and staying for four days.

Bronner said: "I'm very excited. It's a land with a distinct musical culture. Hopefully I'll see some bagpipes."

Lennoxlove House is home to the 16th Duke of Hamilton.
