Loner faces jail for threats to Hollywood star

A LONER who threatened to sexually assault and murder the young star of a Hollywood TV series is facing jail.

Mark Geddes, 17, sent messages to the 16-year-old actress, who cannot be named for legal reasons, and to three of her friends.

FBI investigators in Miami joined forces with Scots detectives to track down Geddes, who told police the threats were “pure fantasy”. He said he had been “looking for attention from celebrities”.

Geddes, who lives with his mum in Haddington, East Lothian, appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday after earlier pleading guilty to tweeting messages of a sexual nature and threatening sexual 
violence.

Sheriff Craig Caldwell, who has already placed Geddes on the sex offenders register and banned him from using social networks, deferred sentence till February 26.
