Local Round-up: Hyperactive children on funding walk

CHILDREN with a hyperactivity condition are to walk across the Forth Road Bridge to raise money for a charity that supports them.

The youngsters with ADHD, along with their parents, will cross the landmark structure on June 18, and have made brightly coloured T-shirts for the challenge.

The event is to raise money for Brighter Days, a West Lothian group set up by Avril Sinclair, who herself has the condition, along with her son Reece.

The walk starts at 10.30am. Visit brighter-days.com.

Meet move 'would boost NHS health'

PUBLIC board meetings of NHS Lothian may be moved to the evening to accommodate people wishing to attend.

Chairman Dr Charles Winstanley is keen to encourage more members of the public to come to the event.

A meeting to discuss how best to do this heard that moving from the traditional 9am start to a later slot and relocating from Waverley Gate would be a possible way to do this.
