Little Steps thinks big with book launch

a GROUP of 40 mums and dads has launched a book about their experiences of 
parenthood in a bid to inspire others to open up about their emotions.

Members of Sighthill-based toddlers group Little Steps contributed to the 100-page collection, entitled Our Stories Our Words, which will be available in local libraries.

Founder Louise Lawson said: “The project was initially to create a booklet to highlight how it feels to be a parent and the issues we face.

“The stories are really inspiring. The tragedies some families have faced and overcome have actually had me in tears.”

Little Steps produced the book with the help of funding from the Edinburgh Voluntary Organisation Trust (EVOT) as well as community photographer Karen Anne Thom.
