Lily’s brush with world of super brains

Lily Johnson, a school girl from Norwich, was in Edinburgh for the launch of the next stage of development for two supercomputers, HECToR and BlueGene Q.

Lily was invited to the launch at Edinburgh University’s advanced computing facility after she won a competition to design artwork to go outside HECToR – or High End Terascale Resource.

The supercomputer is an invaluable resource for researchers studying climate change.
