Lifeboat charity launches SOS

A MESSAGE in a giant bottle was washed up on a beach yesterday to launch a major fundraising campaign for the lifeboat charity.

RNLI volunteers in South Queensferry are urging people to help raise funds for the charity this month. The bottle has been travelling round the country to publicise the campaign.

They are encouraging people to hold an SOS-themed event on Friday, 29 January. The events already planned include a Surf off Scotland day,. For more information, visit www.rnli.org.uk/sos.
