A Liddle way to beat burns

A CHRISTIAN charity is set to spend more than £7,000 on anti-scald taps and CCTV.

The Eric Liddell Centre on Morningside Road is to spend 3,053 upgrading its taps with the anti-scald valves to protect children and elderly users. And it intends to spend a further 3,950 on expanding its CCTV system to make it more effective.

It has applied for 5,000 of funding from the South Central Neighbourhood Partnership to help fund the project. The application is expected to be approved at a meeting on 11 January.
