Licence fees are dropped

Not-for-profit groups in West Lothian will no longer have to pay for public entertainment licences.

The announcement follows the end of a comprehensive review of public entertainment licences (PELs) by West Lothian Council.

It has now been agreed to remove fees in relation to PEL applications for events organised by gala day committees, committees organising Linlithgow’s Marches Day and Bathgate’s Newlands Day and fundraising events organised by other non-profit distributing voluntary and community groups.
