Leon has fun in his sights on taxi jaunt

LEON Pryde from Redhall Primary School made sure that anyone who wasn't caught in the rain got a soaking anyway during the 64th annual Edinburgh Taxi Trade Outing.

The parade of taxis made its way through Edinburgh yesterday carrying around a hundred children with special needs on an annual trip to the beach.

The fleet of 60 cabs headed from Murrayfield to Musselburgh for ice cream before travelling to Yellowcraigs. As well as Hackneys covered in balloons, three taxis had made a special effort and transformed their vehicles into floats.

The 64th annual outing was organised by the Kiddie's Outing Committee to give children with special needs and illnesses a well-deserved day out.
