Lecture series to draw on artist's views

ARTIST John Lowrie Morrison – better known as JoLomo – will give a public lecture on Christianity and Art at the Assembly Hall on The Mound on Thursday at 5:15pm.

Dr Morrison was an art teacher for more than 25 years before giving up teaching in 1997 to paint full-time.

In 2005, he established The Jolomo Foundation, a charitable body aimed at promoting and encouraging the painting of the Scottish landscape.

His lecture is part of the Cunningham lecture series.
