Last Post call to remember war dead

THE Last Post rang out by the Scott Monument in Princes Street yesterday as the Royal British Legion Scotland (RBLS) officially opened the Edinburgh Garden of Remembrance.

Wreaths were laid by the Lord Provost George Grubb, Lt Gen Sir Alistair Irwin, President of the RBLS, by other services charities, and the armed and emergency services.

The garden will be open daily until 14 November.

General Irwin said: "It's a great coming together of the community."
