Larkhall wins anti-sectarian award

A TOWN once associated with sectarianism has been rewarded for its efforts to eradicate it.

Larkhall in South Lanarkshire is the first place in Scotland to win the Champion for Change charter mark. Schools, community groups and church leaders teamed up with anti-sectarianism charity Nil By Mouth.

The award was to recognise Larkhall for bringing together people from different religious and cultural backgrounds.
