Knife attack man in court

A MAN accused of trying to murder two brothers has made a second court appearance.

Derek Brown, 29, appeared on petition at Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday.

He was fully committed on two counts of attempted murder.

Brown, from East Calder, West Lothian, is also accused of carrying a knife in public and causing fear and alarm by acting in a threatening and abusive manner.

He made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody pending trial.

His arrest followed an incident on January 2 in which two siblings were allegedly stabbed.
