Kids plaid up for Kilt Day

PUPILS were going to school dressed in tartan today as part of a fundraising event for children’s charity Children 1st.

The youngsters from St Mary’s Primary in Bonnyrigg were holding a special assembly to celebrate Kilts for Kids Day.

Pupils were also selling tartan heart pin badges to raise money for the charity.

Headteacher Liz Laird said: “The children and staff at the school have really been looking forward to celebrating Kilts for Kids Day and seeing all the outfits. The whole school is taking part.”
