June ignition for Tinderbox

The Tinderbox Orchestra is recruiting young musicians for its summer course.

The orchestra is to perform at the Dalai Lama’s talk at the Usher Hall in June. It will also perform at the Queen’s Hall, in a collaboration with the bands Broken Records and North Atlantic Oscillation.

The orchestra will be working with Professor Nigel Osborne, MBE, as composer in residence for its 10-week summer course, which begins on April 22. It is open to those aged between 13 and 22, of around grade five level or above.

A choir is also being set up. See www.tinderboxproject.co.uk. To book an audition on April 14, email [email protected].
