CAPITAL footballer Jordan Hunter has been named Edinburgh’s Player of the Year as part of a national football project.

The youngster was selected from a pool of players taking part in the the Bank of Scotland Midnight League, a diversionary five-a-side scheme targeting 12 to 16-year-olds across the country.

Run in partnership with the Scottish Football Association, and supported by the Scottish Government’s CashBack for Communities programme, the Bank of Scotland Midnight League programme now boasts more than 3000 young people participating across more than 90 venues each year.
