Job by royal appointment
A DEPUTY housekeeper is being hunted to look after the Queen’s official Scottish residence, and cook and shop for the royals while they are in the Capital.
A “competitive salary package” is being offered to go with the job of making sure the Palace of Holyroodhouse is spick and span “in a manner which befits its status, occupants and visitors”.
But the job with the royal household adds that as well as the usual cleaning duties, the post holder must “undertake the shopping for, and the preparation, cooking and service of, light meals for members of the royal family and other VIP visitors”.
“You will have experience working in a hospitality environment at a supervisory level,” says the job advert, which has been posted on the royal website.
