‘Jittery’ man hid Sim cards

PRISON officers stopped a visitor who seemed jittery and found he was trying to smuggle in Sim cards.

Officers searched Gary Holmes, 23, and found seven mobile phone Sim cards hidden in his boxer shorts.

At Livingston Sheriff Court yesterday, Holmes admitted smuggling communications devices into HMP Addiewell, West Lothian, last year and was jailed for five months.
