Jim Broadbent and Elliott Gould to take Edinburgh film festival stage

AWARD-WINNING actors Jim Broadbent and Elliott Gould are coming to the Edinburgh International Film Festival for “in person” events and to head prize juries.

Broadbent, who won an Academy Award for his role in Iris and has starred in the likes of Harry Potter and Moulin Rouge, has agreed to chair the panel which will choose the Michael Powell Award for best British film.

Veteran actor Gould, star of M*A*S*H, and Ocean’s Eleven, will spearhead the international prize jury.

Both actors are expected to attend the film festival’s gala opening night premiere of Exorcist director William Friedkin’s new thriller, Killer Joe.

The veteran film-maker and lead actress Gina Gershon are also expected at the event at the Festival Theatre, along with Scottish actors Brian Cox, Kate Dickie and Ewen Bremner.
