Jenny's mum tickled Pink by latest routine

THE mother of Over the Rainbow finalist Jenny Douglas has revealed she was "shocked" at her daughter's racy dance routine on Saturday night's show.

Jenny, 18, a former Tynecastle High School pupil, wowed the BBC panel of celebrity judges, including music legend Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber, with her take on Pink's So What, securing her a place in the next round of the talent competition this weekend.

Her family watched in amazement as she energetically moved across the stage in a punky outfit.

Mary Douglas, 45, from South Queensferry, said: "I was shocked by her routine – I have never seen her move like that. I was blown away, so much that I have been watching it again on repeat."

Jenny was praised by the judges for her acting abilities in the performance, which saw her perform standing on a chair at one point.

Mrs Douglas said: "I wasn't sure about the song when I first heard she was going to be singing it, but it was great. I was worried she was going to fall off the chair."

Jenny took a break from rehearsals at the beginning of this week, venturing into London with other finalists to go shopping.
