Jail for abuse of ERI staff

A MAN who threatened staff at the ERI’s accident and emergency unit has been jailed for 30 days.

Scott Thames, 41, shouted and swore at nurses who were treating his injuries at the hospital in June.

The city’s sheriff court yesterday heard that Thames, described as a prisoner of HMP Saughton, had been drinking and had no recollection of the incident.

He pleaded guilty to a breach of the peace charge.
