Inverness police investigate dead man in car

POLICE are investigating the discovery of a dead man in a car parked in Inverness.

Detectives leading the probe are currently treating the death of the 49-year-old as “unexplained”.

Police Scotland has appealed for anyone with information following the discovery of the man in the Bught area of the city at 9.15pm on Wednesday.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “At this time this death is being treated as unexplained as a result of which a road closure has been put in place in the area of Bught Road, Inverness, to allow enquiries to progress.

“Anyone with information in relation to this matter should contact Inverness police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.”
