Describe your perfect weekend

We would go for a long walk by the sea with our dogs near our house in Wales followed by a nice pub lunch. Then we'd go back to the house, dry the dogs off and watch Enchanted.

What would you do if you ruled the world?

I would sit all of the world leaders down in one room together in their underpants and let them see each other exposed. Then I would have someone come in and tell them how they are screwing everything up, before letting them fight it out. They'd have a mud wrestle.

What one thing would improve your life?

I'm really happy with how my life is and with who I am. I wouldn't change a thing.

Who did you last receive a text from and what did it say?

My last text is from a friend called Matt Krzan. I was in La Cage aux Folles with him. He heard me on the Chris Moyles show. He liked the fact they'd taken the piss out of me but that I gave it back just as good.

What's your guiltiest pleasure?

My car collection. I own ten cars. I have a real passion for driving. Earlier on in my life I wanted to be a race car driver. But I don't pay an extortionate amount of money for cars. I'm pretty frugal.

When did you last feel sorry for yourself?

I don't feel sorry for myself because I'm living my dream. Even when I was a little boy I used to stand in the playground and pretend I was on Opportunity Knocks.

What do you wish you'd never done?

I don't regret. If you do something and it goes wrong you learn from it and you move on.

Would your mother be proud of you?

I know my mum is proud. She tells me all the time.

Who would you like to say sorry to?

Well, I yelled at someone on Sunday night, but after giving them hell I sent them a text apologising, so I've already said sorry.

Who does the cleaning in your house?

We have a cleaning lady.

What's the most you've ever spent on a purchase, apart from a car or property?

I received a very nice Rolex watch as a gift. It would have cost me around 3,000.

What is your earliest memory?

It was 1971 when I was three or four years old and I walked into the kitchen and said," Gee, Mum, that's a cute fridge."

What song is the theme tune to your life?

So far my theme tune would be I Won't Send Roses, which is a song from my new album. I also like Oh What a Night. The album is very personal to me.

Who would play you in the movie of your life?

Tom Cruise.

Should you vote?

If yes, how did you vote?

You should vote.

If you don't then you have no right to criticise. I vote for Labour. They support and represent their people. Don't not vote.

When were you last naked in front of another person?

Half past six this morning, when I came out of the shower.

What worries you in the wee small hours?

I always freak myself out. When I'm in the house on my own watching scary movies I have the dogs in bed with me.

When did you lose your virginity?

I was 23.

Who was your favourite teacher and why?

Bev Holt. She wasn't a teacher but she worked at my school. She played the piano for our Glee-like choir. She's a very good friend and the best musician I know. We also worked together running a charity called Dreamers Workshop, where we teach life skills through theatre to young people.

Who is your fantasy date?

Jamie Redknapp.

What would you do if you were invisible? I would go to a Scotland rugby game and sneak into the locker room.

What is your most treasured possession?

My partner Scott and my dogs.

What do you remember better, your first car or first kiss?

Both. My first kiss was in a swimming pool. It was the best kiss. I got my first car when I was 16. My Dad took me to pick it out, and I got a Volkswagen Scirocco.

If you didn't have your current career, what would you do?

I wouldn't know what else to do. When I was younger I wanted to be an airline pilot but that lasted for about 30 seconds.

What do you think of celebrity?

I love it. I love being recognised. I don't know why anyone would turn their back on it.

What has been your greatest achievement?

I don't know yet. I'm still yet to achieve things. Ask me again when I'm 85 and sitting in an old folks' home, then I could tell you.

How old are you?

43.
