Inspectors' top marks for Mount Esk

A NURSERY school in Midlothian has received an excellent report following an unannounced visit by Care Commission inspectors.

Inspectors noted that the children at Mount Esk Nursery School in Bonnyrigg related positively with all staff and appeared happy and content.

The report said: "Mount Esk Nursery School provides an excellent quality of care and learning environment for children. It was evident that the nursery involved parents, carers and children in the assessment and development of the service."

Headteacher Susan Smith said: "The children attending Mount Esk Nursery School thrive and learn in a supportive and stimulating environment, and that is down to the hard work and commitment of the whole school community. We are very proud to have achieved excellent grades again."
