Inquest into Hurd relative's death

An inquest has been opened and adjourned into the death of former Foreign Secretary Lord Hurd's daughter-in-law, who died in New York last month.

Catherine Hurd, 46, apparently plunged four storeys from her house in the fashionable Upper East Side.

Ms Hurd, 45, a Middle East expert, has been working with the UN Security Council.
