Images from China on show

A PRINT specialist who swapped his work to go behind the lens is having his work displayed at a new exhibition.

David Mackinnon’s The Forbidden City is on show at the Attic Salt Gallery, Thistle Street, in time for the Chinese New Year on Sunday.

Mr Mackinnon, 54, who owns Mackinnon Slater in Leith, captured his images on a trip to Shanghai and Beijing.

He said: “Each photo is made from two photos and they are overlaid. The difference is that it’s recognisable but difficult to discern which belongs to what.”
