Illumination for Hanukkah

Rabbi Pinny Weinman lit a lantern in the menorah in St Andrew Square Garden, as part of the large Hanukkah celebration held recently.

As well as a time of celebration and lights, the holiday of Hanukkah is also one of remembrance for the Jewish people, commemorating the rededication of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem in the 2nd century BC.
