Hunt for yobs as window of train smashed

TEENAGE yobs who smashed a carriage window on a steam train filled with tourists and young families are being hunted by police.

The large glass window shattered into pieces as a rock struck the coach, which was being hauled by a steam engine on the Scottish Railway Preservation Society’s line at Bo’ness, West Lothian.

Children who had been enjoying a trip were reportedly left in a state of shock.

A police spokeswoman said: “An object was thrown and smashed the window. Thankfully there was nobody sitting next to the window, however, there were people in that carriage. Nobody was injured.”

Officers are keen to trace two teenage boys. One was described as being around 16 years old with blond hair and the other had red hair. Police are also keen to trace a female seen with them.
