Hunt on for sex attacker

The public’s help is “vital” in bringing the assailant to justice, a police spokesman said.

The 23-year-old was walking home at 3.25am from a night out when a man approached and engaged her in conversation before grabbing her. A struggle ensued where the victim was sexually assaulted before the man made off towards Leith Walk.

The suspect is dark skinned, 5ft 6in tall, slim, with short dark wavy hair, dark eyebrows, dark eyes and a dark moustache. He was wearing a black coat with a hood and black trousers.

A police spokesman said: “Anyone who saw anything suspicious or who can identify the suspect is asked to contact police.
