Hunt for Scots Euromillions winner

ONE lucky person from Kilmarnock has won the £1 million jackpot and a dream trip to the US, but is yet to claim their prize.

An appeal has been launched to trace the winner who bought their ticket in Kilmarnock, East Ayrshire with players being urged to check and double-check their Millionaire Maker code.

UK players automatically receive a EuroMillions UK Millionaire Maker code on their ticket for every line played.

The winning selection on Friday March 25 for the prize was JGB629631 and will be eligible for claiming until September 21st.

If the money is left unclaimed, the total plus the interest it has generated, will go towards funding National Lottery projects across the UK.

A National Lottery spokesman said: “We’re desperate to find this mystery ticket holder and unite them with their winnings, this amazing prize could really make a huge difference to somebody’s life.

“Thanks to EuroMillions Mega Friday, £1m plus a US trip of a lifetime would certainly be an amazing introduction to the millionaire lifestyle.

“We’re urging everyone who bought a ticket in this area to check their old EuroMillions tickets again or look anywhere a missing ticket could be hiding, so that this prize can turn someone into the newest member of the lottery millionaire club.

“Try checking in the pockets of clothing, in wallets, bags and down the back of the sofa. We have the champagne on ice and our fingers crossed that the lucky winner comes forward to claim their win.”
