'Human remains' have been discovered on Orkney beach

Police Scotland have said that on Monday, December 14, they received a report that ‘human remains’ had been found on the beach at Dingieshowe, Orkney.

Police received the report at around 1.30pm and remain at the scene as further examination and analysis is carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said:"Around 1:30pm, on Monday, December, 14, 2020, police received a report that human remains had been discovered on the beach at

Dingieshowe, Orkney.

"Officers are in attendance and further examination and analysis will be carried out. Enquiries are ongoing."
