Hotel scoops venue prize

AN Edinburgh hotel has been named the UK’s best venue for conferences, banquets and weddings.

The George Hotel received the accolade at the BDRC Continental’s VenueVerdict Awards after nearly 24,000 customers at hundreds of venues across the UK submitted feedback on the quality of service delivered.

George Hotel general manager David Welch said: “We are absolutely delighted. It is an honour to win an award which is determined by customers.”
